Jose Antonio Gonzalez contacted Make Be-Leaves regarding the transformation of the Frida Cantina Restaurant on N. Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills. Jose envisioned large, custom Mediterranean Olive Trees growing from the ground rather than being potted in decorative planters.
Two “holes” were created below the floor surface to facilitate the large utility base buckets that the artificial trees are secured into. Once the faux trees were secured in the subfloor opening, decorative metal grates were installed to surround the trunks at floor level.
The two 14- and 15-ft-tall faux large commercial Mediterranean Olive Trees are the focal pieces in the restaurant and are tall enough for customers to sit beneath them while enjoying their meals.
