Large-scale UV Artificial Boxwood Parterre Garden

PRINCESS MARGARET HOSPITAL, TORONTO, CANADA

Several years ago, Make Be-Leaves was contracted by Janet Rosenberg Studio to create a large scale UV artificial boxwood parterre garden for the rooftop Memory Garden of Princess Margaret Hospital.

Custom UV Artificial Curved Green Wall

The latest project at the hospital, which was just recently completed, included complex UV outdoor boxwood sphere gardens and custom UV artificial curved Green Wall at the ground level exterior main entrance of the hospital.

Steel Supported Faux Boxwood Spheres

The complex landscape design required Make Be-Leaves to construct custom steel supported UV faux boxwood spheres, per design drawings, attached to base gridded metal plates – including steel uni-struts for anchoring to the concrete base of the garden “beds”.

Make Be-Leaves has worked on several phases of the Monument Rapid City Hospital expansion over the last two years, providing custom artificial large scale trees, custom faux plantings, and arrangements. Working with hospital designers, we coordinated a plantscaping style that complemented the local, natural plantscape.

Make Be-Leaves team recently completed the latest artificial plant installation – off-loading a 53 ft. exclusive truck, and staging and “dressing” large built-in plantings, custom artificial Birch trees up to 14 ft. tall, and contemporary potted faux River Grass plantings.

Faux Green Walls with Signage and Lighting

Custom Artificial Green Wall Plantings with Signage

As the expanding demand for unique artificial Green Walls continues, our customers are discovering more and more creative ways to enhance their lobbies, entrances and living spaces with uniquely branded signage and elegant lighting.

Our UV artificial green walls – equally popular for interior and exterior spaces – are constructed on a lightweight, gridded metal backing. When incorporating signage on these artificial green walls, there are multiple options:

*Make Be-Leaves will build out our green wall, including specified “cut outs” on the wall – as shown in the Kinecta office wall

*After our faux green wall is attached to the existing wall, signage can be attached directly over the green wall

*Smaller cut outs can be handled at time of installation – simply using bolt cutters or hand grinder to cut the metal gridding where desired. Example shown of large wall with domed lighting incorporated
For our interior green walls constructed on Styrofoam with wood backing:

*signage can be attached directly over the green wall – as shown in framed succulent wall

Artificial Grass Plantings

CUSTOM UV FAUX GRASS PLANTINGS

Our UV artificial custom grass plantings are a great choice for built-in planters, decorative pots, or wall-mounted planters. These faux grasses have a very life-like appearance and their clean-line look works great for most landscape designs.

Depending upon the project, these custom UV faux grass plantings can be potted into weighted nursery pots, or secured into a Styrofoam base, cut to fit the interior dimensions of your planters.

Our taller UV artificial grass plantings work great in creating division and privacy, potted in rectangular planters, while the middle height and shorter grass plantings provide a natural, long-lasting look of greenery and style.

These custom grass plantings are so realistic-looking, they work great in combination with live plantscaping – see example of our UV grass plantings in large decorative pots, with natural succulent plantings in same space.

Hyatt Place, National Harbor, MD wanted to create greenery on two of the exterior walls at their restaurant – specifying about 60 percentage greenery coverage. Diamond-patterned cable was attached to the concrete walls, to which Make Be-Leaves secured the UV artificial greenery vining – creating a warm, inviting space, and maintenance-free!

Artificial Green Wall, from Designer Inspiration to Installation!

It’s such a beautiful Artificial Green Wall installation, the Phipps Plaza UV green wall project is finally completed, including custom domed lighting which creates a dramatic impact on the main entrance to this upscale mall in Buckhead, GA.

Make Be-Leaves worked from inspiration renderings provided by Beck Architecture to design and construct the custom fluid design artificial outdoor UV green wall. The landscape architectural design layout shows the plant foliage selections, the fluid design, and the modular panel layout.
