The built-in 25-foot diameter planter was originally designed for live plants, which required constant upkeep. Our team at Make Be-Leaves worked closely with the shopping center to develop a custom artificial landscape that delivers the same lush floral aesthetic without ongoing maintenance.
To achieve this, we incorporated a carefully curated mix of:

Unlike mass-produced artificial plantings, our approach perfectly fits each unique space. The Del Amo Shopping Center installation was built on a custom plywood base, with each plant securely placed into styrofoam cubes for long-term stability.
- 18 custom-cut plywood base sheets were precisely measured and crafted to fit the planter’s exact dimensions.
- Each artificial plant was strategically positioned and secured for maximum visual impact.
- The completed plantscape fit seamlessly into the planter—like a glove.
